  • COMMUNITY WORD FOR JUNE 2026

    (WORD, THEMES AND PROMISES) READINGS (Cycle A, Year II) June 7 2026 – Deut 8:2-3, 14B-16A/ Ps 147:12-13, 14-15, 19-20/ 1 Cor 10:16-17/ Jn 6:51-58 June 14 2026 – Ex 19:2-6a/ Ps 100:1-2, 3, 5/ Rom 5:6-11/ Mt 9:36-10:8 June 21 2026 – Jer 20:10-13/ Ps 69:8-10, 14, 17, 33-35/ Rom 5:12-15/ Mt 10:26-33 June 28 2026 – 2 Kgs 4:8-11, 14-16A/ Ps 89:2-3, 16-17, 18-19/ Rom 6:3-4, 8-11/ Mt 10:37-42 COMMUNITY WORD Jesus, the Living Bread, nourishes us to grow in a deeper relationship with Him and in the mission of the Church. ORDER “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever.” (Jn 6:51) PROPHECY 1.     Come, come to Me; life is in Me. 2.     I am here to sustain you and give you strength; I am the Bread of Life. DIRECTIONS 1.     Be spiritually prepared to receive Communion through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. 2.     Find spiritual nourishment and strength by partaking of the Holy Eucharist regularly. 3.     Spend quiet moments in prayer and thanksgiving after receiving Holy Communion. 4.     Evangelize and spread the Good News to the lost and the least. THEME AND PROMISE (with identified Communitarian Value, Virtue or Spirituality) Week#1 (Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus – Corpus Christi) Theme: We are nourished by Jesus, the Living Bread, as we partake of the Eucharist and become one body in Christ. (Communion/ Unity/ Faith/ Abiding in Christ) Promise: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.” (Jn 6:56) Week#2 (Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time) Theme: We are nourished by Jesus, the Living Bread, to shepherd the lost and share His compassion with others. (Mission/ Compassion/ Shepherding/ Service) Promise: “If you obey me completely and keep my covenant, you will be my treasured possession among all peoples…” (Ex 19:5) Week#3 (Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time) Theme: We are nourished by Jesus, the Living Bread, to courageously testify to the truth of who He is. (Faithful witness/ Courage/ Trust/ Perseverance) Promise:“Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.” (Mt 10:32) Week#4 (Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time) Theme: We are nourished by Jesus, the Living Bread, to give our utmost love and wholehearted commitment to Him. (Total Commitment/ Discipleship/ Sacrifice) Promise: “Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” (Mt 10:39)

DIRECTIONS Affirm your care and love to your brethren in communityBe steadfast and relentless in inviting friends and families to district worship and evangelization programs.Persevere in prayer and in the study of God’s word. THEME AND PROMISE Week#1 (Fifth Sunday of Easter) Theme: We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to trust Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and continue His works. Promise: “Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these.” (Jn 14:12) Week#2 (Sixth Sunday of Easter) Theme: We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to love Jesus by keeping His commandments. Promise: “Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.” (Jn 14:21) Week#3 (The Ascension of the Lord) Theme: We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the mission entrusted to us by Christ. Promise: “… I am with you always, until the end of the age.” (Mt 28:20) Week#4 (Pentecost Sunday) Theme: We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to forgive and receive healing and peace. Promise: “When you send forth your spirit, they are created, and you will renew the face of the earth.” (Ps 104:30) Week#5 (The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity) Theme: We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to emulate the perfect love of the Blessed Trinity. THEME AND PROMISE Week#1 (The Resurrection of the Lord) Theme: We rejoice in the Risen Christ who raises us to a new life in Him. Promise: “when Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory.” (Col 3:4) Week#2 (Divine Mercy Sunday, Second Sunday of Easter) Theme: We rejoice in the Risen Christ who shapes us into a community of faith and mercy. Promise: “Let those who fear the Lord say, His mercy endures forever.” (Ps 118:4) Week#3 (Third Sunday of Easter) Theme: We rejoice in the Risen Christ who opens our heart to Scripture and His presence in the Eucharist. Promise: “You will show me the path to life, abounding with joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.” (Ps 16:11) Week#4 (Fourth Sunday of Easter) Theme: We rejoice in the Risen Christ, our Shepherd, who leads us to fullness of life. Promise: “I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” (Jn 10:10)
