COMMUNITY WORD  

Disciples of Christ are called to be the salt and the light of the earth.

ORDER  

“….your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” (Mt 5:16) 

PROPHECIES

1.    Do not tire of doing good works that My glory may shine through you.

2.    Strive for perfection; be holy in doing My work in love.

3.    You have nothing to fear and worry for I will be with you all the way.

DIRECTIONS

     1.   Be a good witness to others by living a holy life.

     2.   Serve and share the goodness of Christ.

     3.   Focus on and fulfill our BLD’s 5-point and 8-point pledges.

THEMES AND PROMISES 

Week#1 (5th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Theme: We are the salt and the light of the earth when we do acts of mercy with love.

Promise: Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer, you shall cry for help, and he will say: Here I Am!” (Is 58:9)

Week#2 (6th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Theme: We are the salt and the light of the earth when we obey and teach God’s commandments and walk in His ways.

Promise: “…keep the commandments, they will save you; if you trust in God, you too shall live.” (Sir 15:15)

Week#3 (7th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Theme: We are the salt and the light of the earth when we show unconditional love and kindness to everyone.

Promise: “He redeems your life…crowns you with kindness and compassion.” (Ps 103:4)

Week#4 (1st Sunday of Lent)

Theme: We are the salt and the light of the earth when we overcome all occasions of sin by praying, fasting and standing on God’s word.

Promise: “…through the obedience of the One, the many will be made righteous.” (Rom 5:19b)
