Jesus, our Emmanuel, brings salvation to the world and hope in every heart.
ORDER
“Put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” (Col 3:12)
PROPHECIES
- Prepare your hearts; rejoice, for I will surely come.
- My children, be heralds of My coming through your good deeds.
- I am always with you even if you doubt My presence.
DIRECTIONS
- Let there be healing of relationships so we can joyfully celebrate the birth of Jesus.
- Avail of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and receive Holy Communion regularly
- Be active in the mission outreaches and share your blessings with poor families.
THEMES AND PROMISES
Week#1 (First Sunday of Advent)
Theme: Salvation is manifested in our lives when we walk in the ways of the Lord.
Promise: “For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.” (Rom 13:11b)
Week#2 (Second Sunday of Advent)
Theme: Salvation is manifested in our lives when we repent and bear the fruit of the Spirit.
Promise: “He shall have pity for the lowly…the lives of the poor he shall save.” (P72:13)
Week#3 (Third Sunday of Advent)
Theme: Salvation is manifested in our lives when we rejoice in the saving work of God in our life.
Promise: “Here is your God, he comes with vindication; with divine recompense he comes to save you.” (Is 35:4b)
Week#4 (Fourth Sunday of Advent)
Theme: Salvation is manifested in our lives when we act in faithful obedience to God’s divine will.
Promise: “He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, a reward from God his savior.” (Ps. 24:5)
Week#5 (Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph)
Theme: Salvation is manifested in our lives when our family reflects the love and faithfulness of the Holy Family.
Promise: “Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways… for you shall be favored.” (Ps 128:1-2)
